Chemistry student offends teacher, aces test

June 4th, 2008

We’ve seen a lot of ’stupid exam answers’ in the past, but I like this one best. Click the image for the full picture.

asinine chemistry student

Why do I love it so? Because even though he managed to leave snide comments for every question, he still aced the test. 100/100. Nothing says “understimulated” quite as much as this.

I particularly like the way the last line on the exam paper states that: “Score not based on acuracy [sic], not for drawing ability”. Bad spelling and an incoherent sentence - I am starting to guess why the class might have been understimulating.

Maybe I’m full of it, but that X-ed out 3d orbital looks valid. Brian should have received his extra credit.

Hmmmm…. any proof of veracity? Looks like a spoof to me.

Regardless if its real or not, it sure gave me quite a laugh.

@Dave. Yep the 3d orbital is correct. Specifically it’s a 3dz^2 and, as the question doesn’t specify which 3d orbital they want, he could have drawn any of the ones here and been correct. If this is real I think the student knows a lot more than the teacher.

I’m lovin’ it. Thanks for that!
