About Me

I have more wrinkles now, but better clothesSciencePunk is the brainchild of Frank Swain. He has lots of certificates on his wall certifying an unsuccessful £15,000 gamble on higher education. He currently writes lovely alliterative sentences and digests interweb fodder for charitable trust Sense About Science.

In addition to this website, Frank is the creator of the paper-based War On Error zine, and ex-editor of the Korovian. Most recently, he co-edited There Goes the Science Bit, a report by the Voice of Young Science group investigating dodgy science claims in advertising. He has written for a number of other publications including the Guardian Blogs, art-hipster mag Plastic Rhino, and even got a few words into PR Week this one time. He’s been talking head opposite the lovely Kylie Morris on More4 News a couple of times, too.

Frank has a history of putting on music nights, making zines, hosting a radio show, being a filthy scenester, hanging out with strippers and generally being a force for good.

He freelances around London and beyond in exchange for cash or kudos.

You can contact him here: contact@sciencepunk.com or on +44 787 656 3082
